Pilates (formerly called Contrology) is a full body conditioning system developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century.

This type of exercise promotes the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Pilates emphasis on core work, look "simple" but challenging to be done correctly with good form as it emphasis smaller and deeper stabilizing muscles of the body as much as your prime movers.

There are “five essentials” when performing Pilates exercise – breathing, cervical alignment, rib and scapular stabilization, pelvic mobility and utilizing the transverses abdominis

The class would helps on understanding Pilates principles and basic technique. While we will assess your movement and possible restrictions, and address your goals for your Pilates practice. Pilates is more than exercise, but rather a movement modality enriched by a set of principles. We encourage you to see your first Appointment as a learning experience and a foundation to build on going forward with your practice.
